As the Institute’s first large-scale exhibition, the primary challenge was to create a system that could both archive and curate objects with questioned standards. In my role as Production Manager, I was responsible for the entire technical cycle—from designing the iconic crates (utilizing styrofoam interiors and sanded/varnished plywood exteriors) to fabricating the sheet metal table and screen structures.
At this stage, I acted not only as a designer but as a hands-on manufacturer involved in purchasing, production planning, and CNC operation. Each crate featured customized details tailored to the narrative of the object it housed. By translating SolidWorks and Rhinoceros models into physical reality through CNC routing (milling/laser) and 3D printing, I transformed theoretical research into "biennial-standard" artifacts. My key insight was that precise material selection and technical rigor were the most powerful tools in reinforcing the Institute’s formal authority and professional stance.
